Liminal Apologetics exists to help individuals navigate the boundary between doubt and faith. I focus on building a coherent, biblically grounded understanding of Christian doctrine and practice, drawing on credible and well-documented sources such as the Holy Bible (2 Timothy 3:16) and historical Christian writings (e.g., early Church Fathers). Our discussions regularly compare the teachings of the New Testament with those found in the Book of Mormon—a text introduced by Joseph Smith in 1830—and highlight points of divergence through a gracious yet rigorous lens of apologetics.

One recurring topic in my work is the concept of the “Great Apostasy,” which holds a central place in Latter-day Saint theology. I address how this view—namely, that the true church fell away from the pure gospel teachings in early Christian history—differs from a historically recognized Christian perspective that sees the gospel persisting through the centuries. By engaging pertinent biblical passages and credible Christian scholarship, I aim to illuminate where the weight of historical and theological evidence contrasts with the Mormon understanding of a widespread apostasy and subsequent restoration.

At Liminal Apologetics, we strive to:

1. Address Concerns Thoughtfully: We tackle common questions about Christian faith, Scripture, and contrasting religious claims, aiming to equip believers with clear, concise explanations backed by reputable sources.

2. Foster Growth in Faith: Our hope is to encourage spiritual maturity by examining doctrines on firm biblical grounds (e.g., John 1:1; 2 Timothy 2:15). We believe that faith grows stronger when it is tested, studied, and discussed openly.

3. Engage in Respectful Dialogue: We treat every topic—even contentious ones—with respect, acknowledging that honest inquiry can enrich believers and challenge misunderstandings. We are committed to holding firm to truth while demonstrating care for those who hold different views.

By providing resources, hosting conversations, and curating articles grounded in historically recognized Christian teaching, Liminal Apologetics seeks to nurture a confident, informed faith. We welcome all who have questions or doubts—no matter how complex—to join us in exploring, learning, and moving toward a deeper understanding of the Gospel.
